My students really enjoy the stories as well as the supplemental exercises contained within this book. The CD makes it very easy to reproduce the pages, it also has an audio version of the story which would be great for a listening center. I printed and laminated a book for each student in my small group and also created vocabulary cards that went along with the story for word sorts and word study.The stories are written with the purpose of engaging the most disinterested readers. You have got to read the one about the hagfish (I had to find a video to actually see this animal in action-totally gross) my students were amazed by the story and it created so much interest they wanted to know more. This is what teaching is about-extending the learning beyond the classroom. I recommend this resource and I hope they create another one with similar stories, I will be one of the first to buy it.
